Abstract:
Existe un imperativo global para aumentar la concienciación sobre la evidencia emergente relacionada con la actividad física (AF) en personas mayores. El “envejecimiento saludable” se ha centrado tradicionalmente en la prevención de enfermedades crónicas, pero se requieren mayores esfuerzos para reducir la fragilidad y la dependencia, así como para mantener la función física y cognitiva independiente, además de la salud mental y el bienestar.
